Welcome to the new look website!

Why make changes? Well, for the most part the new website is all about technical changes, and offers me the opportunity to keep a Blog diary and post some PODcasts. On TGO magazine we’ve been making PODcasts for the past nine months or so and I guess it’s time I began putting some up on my own website.

In short I wanted a better communication tool to keep in touch with those of you who have read my books, my columns in the Strathie or Sunday Herald or have watched my various television programmes. And not to forget those of you who come along to one of my AV presentations and can’t think of a question to ask until I’ve packed up and gone away! Now is your chance…

Finally, in the website’s Diary pages I’ll be posting some of the mountain walks that I enjoy from week to week, sharing some ultralight backpacking tips, keeping folk posted on various talks and presentations that I do and generally just keeping in touch. And I hope you’ll take the opportunity to comment from time to time.
