Alternatively there is a daily bus service between Inverness and Durness which stops at Lochinver. Walk to Tongue then catch the postbus to Lairg to return to Inverness by train. Hope this helps. I have done the coast to coast, Hadrians way, West island way and the Cleveland way.I wild camped and enjoyed the freedom to walk the distance i felt like walking. I don,t drive, live in York and could you let me know the easiest way to get to the start and back from the finish.
