Hi James,
No I’m afraid it’s not pocket-sized. We have gone for a rather smart looking book that contains a lot about Sutherland and its mountains rather than just a trail guide, although you’ll get all the trail information you need from it. The book is illustrated with some superb photographs by my compatriot Richard Else, so we wanted a book that would show his images to best advantage. I se it’s already on the Amazon and Borders websites.

I look forward to buying the book. I had to abandon the Sutherland Trail earlier this year due to work commitments, but I'd left planning the trip until the last minute. I usually prefer to spend weeks poring over maps and reading guidebooks prior to a walk. As I now plan to resume the Sutherland Trail in October, the timing of its publication is perfect. Is the format of the book "pocket-sized"?
