He is president of the Backpackers Club, vice president of the Ramblers’ Association in Scotland and Chairman of the Nevis Partnership.

Richard Else

Richard Else: Richard is one of the UK’s best known adventure film makers. His credits include The Climbers (with Chris Bonington), The Edge: 100 Years of Scottish Mountaineering; Wilderness Walks and The Face. He was also the man who encouraged the late Alfred Wainwright to appear on television! He is currently director of BBC Scotland’s highly successful The Adventure Show.

Margaret Wicks: A former researcher Margaret is a highly experienced producer of adventure films and television programmes. She currently produces the much acclaimed The Adventure Show for BBC Scotland and in recent years she has worked on The Climbers (with Chris Bonington), The Edge: 100 Years of Scottish Mountaineering; Wilderness Walks and The Face.
