TGO MAGAZINE, formerly The Great Outdoors, is recognised as Britain’s most authoritative outdoors magazine for hill walkers, backpackers, trekkers and scramblers.

In 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 TGO Magazine was Highly Commended in the annual awards of the Periodical Publishing Association and in the same years Cameron was shortlisted as Scottish Consumer Magazine Editor of the Year.

Every month TGO informs and entertains its readers with a variety of features from home and abroad. The Out and About pages offer the most up to date and informed news coverage of the outdoor world and the magazine is never slow to campaign for walkers’ rights.

In 2010 Cameron stood down as editor and became Editor-at-Large giving him more time to work on other projects. He has been replaced by Emily Rodway, a keen hillwalker who moved to Scotland from London a number of years ago to be closer to the hills she loves – TGO’s staff don’t just write about it, they do it!
