TGO – The Great Outdoors Magazine

The TGO magazine logoTGO MAGAZINE, formerly The Great Outdoors, is recognised as Britain’s most authoritative outdoors magazine for hill walkers, backpackers, trekkers and scramblers.

In 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 TGO Magazine was Highly Commended in the annual awards of the Periodical Publishing Association and in the same years Cameron was shortlisted as Scottish Consumer Magazine Editor of the Year.

Every month TGO informs and entertains its readers with a variety of features from home and abroad. The Out and About pages offer the most up to date and informed news coverage of the outdoor world and the magazine is never slow to campaign for walkers’ rights.

Contributors Chris Townsend, Roger Smith, Mike Harding, Jim Perrin, Judy Armstrong, Colin Prior and Andy Stothert are amongst the most active of Britain’s outdoor writers and photographers and are all widely respected authors in their own fields.

In recent months deputy editor John Manning left for pastures new and has been replaced by Emily Rodway, a keen hillwalker who moved to Scotland from London a number of years ago to be closer to the hills she loves – TGO’s staff don’t just write about it, they do it!

TGO Magazine – produced by enthusiasts for enthusiasts!
